Trading Tears for Joy: A Look at How 2022 Changed the Way We Think About Wellness
It Was A Year of Struggle On Many Levels- But It Was The Wake-Up Call Many of Us Needed
Hello Everybody!
I’m Andrea of Earth’s Own Essentials and I am so excited to officially kick off 2023 with you! We finally made it into a fresh new year and with that new start comes the opportunity to look back, reflect, and prepare for how we can make the new year better. It’s no secret that 2022 brought its own special recipe of chaos to the world. However, I do believe that there were moments of light that managed to shine through and communicated to our hearts and minds that we need to do more to take care of ourselves, as well as each other.
I won’t discuss the top stories of 2022 or the biggest celebrity deaths of the year- that’s what we have the internet for. What I will share is that it was remarkable to see how events and people, made such an astounding influence around the world, and you could feel that kind of synergy at every turn.
As the year progressed and we witnessed history unfold, I couldn’t help but sit and wonder if we were all taking the time to process our stress, our grief, and our pain in ways that would be beneficial to the whole state of healing. Back in June, I participated in the Ohio Marijuana Expo where I sat amongst an entire pavilion of industry experts and wellness professionals, looking to connect with the public about natural remedies and holistic alternatives. While at the event, it was clear to me that people were searching for positive relief- anything to help get their mental, physical, and emotional state back in order. I was overflowed with joy for the opportunity to reach out, but also to obtain new ideas of how I can be a part of their wellness journey moving forward. It truly was a game changer for me, and I’m so proud that many of those people who visited me during that event have opened their hearts to Earth’s Own Essentials. That is why I do what I do.
In addition to introducing new blends: Mindfulness and Ocean Winds, I also devoted more time to studying so I could enhance my knowledge about the industry, and even better how to translate that expertise into better products for my customers. Furthermore, I was able to take my 2nd trip back to Egypt in October and built even more amazing memories through the experiences I participated in. It’s been a lot to take in, but the joy and gratitude of these moments and opportunities has left me absolutely empowered.
I think what has ultimately stood out the most for me, was the rise in awareness and initiatives in mental wellness across the globe. There’s been more conversations about it since the start of the pandemic, but it’s not just about depression and doubt any more- it never was. People are learning to speak up, ask for help, and recognize that mental health is not a one-dimensional problem. These conversations are finally happening at a time and place where the best support we can get is the love and kindness of each other.
My thoughts and hopes for 2023, are that we continue to recognize and prioritize the changes we need to make to feel whole again. We cannot let our limitations define what we can accomplish for the good of ourselves and others. The entire concept of wellness thrives not just on health, but the sense of responsibility and compassion. When we feel good about who we are and what we do, that kind of joy radiates to others.
I feel blessed and optimistic about what is coming in this new year and I can’t wait to continue the journey with you. Please make sure you stay connected to Earth’s Own Essentials on social media to learn about new products, special offers, and more exciting things planned for the year!
