Our wildcrafted Cinnamon Bark Oil is steam distilled from the bark of cinnamon trees in the forests of Madagascar. The bark oil is generally preferred over Cinnamon Leaf essential oil. Aromatically, Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil is much richer in aroma. Cinnamon Bark Oil tends to be warming, stimulating and energizing. It offers superb benefits when used in natural medicines. The oil is steam distilled from the bark or leaves, producing a golden yellow/brownish color. Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil smells peppery, earthy, spicy, bright yet slightly woodsy and has a slightly oily feeling.

It blends well with Petitgrain, Grapefruit, Orange, Cardamom, Elemi, Rose, Peppermint, and other wood, spice, citrus and mint essential.

Topically, both Cinnamon Bark and Cinnamon Leaf essential oils should be used with extreme caution, if at all.  Cinnamon bark essential oil is rich in cinnamaldehyde, too hot and stimulating for regular topical use. It is best to use this oil in diffuser blends with caution. It is also useful in natural cleaning products.
