Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) is a perennial herb with finely dissected fluffy leaves, giving a lacy appearance, with bountiful white and pinkish, dense flower heads. It is native to Europe and Asia, and naturalized in the United States. It is now found in many temperate regions around the globe. The oil is distilled in Germany, Hungary, France, the U.S., and Africa. The essential oil is produced by steam distilling the flowering tops and leaves, resulting in deep blue, sweet, florals spicy and herbaceous oil.

Yarrow essential oil helps to manage pain and inflammation, sciatic nerve pain, headaches and more. It is supportive to the digesting system providing aid for irritable bowel syndrome, cramping, constipation, and indigestion. Yarrow fights with your immune system to combat colds, flu and fever, and can help heal emotional trauma, help release repressed anger and rage, and soothe you in stress related conditions. It also can work wonders on the skin, and help improve circulation in the muscles and joints.

It blends well with Ylang ylang, Cedarwood, Pine, Vetiver, Roman and German Chamomile, Melissa, Clary sage, Angelica root, Rosemary, Lemon, Tarragon and other essential oils. Do not use Yarrow for long periods of time.. It is non-toxic, non-irritant, but can cause sensitization is some individuals. Conduct a patch test using a carrier oil prior to use.
