Guaiazulene, a sesquiterpene, is responsible for the oil’s brilliant blue hue (rare in essential oils produced from wood) and its anti-inflammatory properties. Guaiazulene is not present in the botanical material itself, but is formed during the distillation process.  Sesquiterpenols are generally safe oils and are not known to be skin irritants. Beta-Eudesmol found in Blue Cypress is cautioned against if taking anticoagulant drugs, if you have a peptic ulcer, or any bleeding disorders. It should also be avoided during pregnancy due to the antiangiogenic action.

Our Blue Cypress essential oil is organically crafted and steam distilled from the wood of sustainably cultivated trees in northern Australia. It mixes well with Bergamot, Clary Sage, Frankincense, Juniper, Lemongrass and more.
