Eucalyptus Globulus is a stately tall tree with over 500 varieties producing essential oils. The young trees have blue-green oval leaves, and the more mature trees develop long narrow yellowy leaves, creamy-white flowers, and have a bark that is often covered in a white powder. The trees are native to Australia and Tasmania.

The essential oil is steam distilled from the fresh or partially dried leaves and twigs. The oil is colorless initially and yellows as it ages, and has a camphoraceous aroma with a woody-sweet undertone. The oils are a traditional household remedy is Australia, used mainly to support respiratory problems, feverish conditions, skin conditions, and aching joints.
It blends well with Bay, Thyme, Camphor, Cedarwood, Geranium, German Chamomile, Ginger, Juniper, Lavender, Lemon, Marjoram, Orange, Oregano, Peppermint, Petitgrain, Pine, Rosemary and many other oils. Eucalyptus is externally non-toxic, non-irritant, and non-sensitizing.
