Citronellal also contributes to this oil’s ability to discourage germs and bugs. While this species of eucalyptus can be used for the breath, it shines in natural cleaning blends. Dilute it in a carrier for topical blends to protect skin from the aldehyde components. Our certified organic Eucalyptus Citriodora essential oil is steam distilled from the gray-green leaves of trees in the wild landscape of South Africa.
Eucalyptus Citriodora can be used in skincare formulations, to fight off winter’s ills (colds, flu), and fights fungal infections, is antiviral and bactericidal. It’s also a great insecticide! Eucalyptus Citriodora Oil blends well with lavender, Marjoram, tea tree, peppermint, petitgrain and other oils.
Chemical families: Aldehydes, Monoterpenols and Monoterpenes. Shelf life is 3 years. This oil may cause irritation or sensitization if oxidized. Use in low dilution, less than 3% to avoid skin irritation.
