Palo Santo Essential Oil

Botanical Name: Bursera graveolens

100% Pure therapeutic grade essential oil

Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) is a revered tree native in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. Palo Santo means Holy Wood. It is closely related to Frankincense oil because both share similar constituents (primarily Limonene), slightly similar aromas and because both have similar applications. It has been used for hundreds of years in spiritual ceremonies by Shamans.

Palo Santo is deeply skin nourishing and therefore widely used for dry, damaged and irritated skin. It helps center and focus, and provides respiratory support. it is also used as an insect repellent.

The oil is steam distilled from the wood, producing a thin, yellowish liquid with a sharp, sweet, woody and peppery aroma. It blends well with Black pepper, Vetiver, Rose, Cinnamon, Cypress, Cedarwood, Frankincense, Lemon, Sandalwood, Clary sage, Myrrh, Rose, Fir and other oils. There are no known contraindications. Non-toxic, non-irritant, and non-sensitizing

Essential oils can be used for a wide range of emotional and physical wellness applications. They can be used as single (neat) essential oils or in essential oil blends depending on user experience and desired benefit. Earth’s Own Essentials acquires essential oils from multiple suppliers and uses only 100% Pure Therapeutic and/or Organic essential oils in our blends and neat oils.
