Angelica Root (Angelica Sinensis) comes from a large hairy plant with fern-like leaves and clusters of white flowers. It has a strong aromatic scent and large rhizomes from which the oil is Angelica sinesisextracted by either steam or CO2 distillation. The oil is yellowish brown in a medium consistency with a rich, spicy, herbal, woodsy odor. It blends well with patchouli, opopanax, clary sage, vetiver and citrus oils. Angelica is generally considered non toxic but can cause photosensitivity in fair skinned people; avoid sunlight exposure after application up to 12 hours. Avoid use during pregnancy and if diabetic.
