If You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling, Let’s Help You Get It Back!

Hello Again Friends!

It’s Andrea. This month, we are discussing healthy ways to improve your love life. Millions of people are finding themselves in a situation where their sex lives are lacking and they’re feeling hopeless, or uncertain how to get back on track.

There are so many issues that can cause a lull in sexual activity. The first, obviously, could be a medical condition; always consult with a medical professional when your body is not functioning normally. Other factors could include stress, performance anxiety, a partner having sexual or erectile disfunction, menopause, chaos of the world, work, exhaustion, or an inability to focus on the pleasure because there are too many things on your mind.

Although there are several reasons why sexual activity has waned, let’s look at the benefits of a healthy sexual relationship, and how you can use Essential Oils to enhance romance, love, and intimacy. Sexual health is the ability to embrace and enjoy our sexuality throughout our lives. It is an important part of our physical and emotional health. Being sexually healthy means understanding that sexuality is a natural part of life and involves more than sexual acts and behavior.

According to the American Sexual Health Association (ASHA), a sexually healthy person possesses the following characteristics, behaviors, and belief systems: Communicates, Experiences, Understands, Educates, Treats and Prevents and has Rights.
Once medical conditions have been ruled out, let’s set the ambience. Remove distractions from the room, dogs, children, and cell phones etc.
An aromatherapy massage shared between couples without expectations is a great way to begin! Here is a blend choice I like to suggest.

Tender Touch Massage Blend
15 drops Rosewood oil (Aniba rosaeodora ducke)
15 drops Clary Sage (Salvia sclarea)
20 drops Sandalwood (Santalum album)
20 drops Cedarwood (Juniperus virginiana)
10 drops Jasmine (Jasminum grandiflorum)
100 ml Sweet Almond (Prunus amygdalus var. dulcis) or Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) Carrier Oil
Add Carrier Oil to 4 oz amber glass bottle. Combine oils and add to carrier and shake gently to combine. This blend is at a 3% dilution. Cap tightly and gently shake to blend.

Hydrosols like Rose Otto, Lavender or Orange make for exotic linen sprays.

Other Essential Oils include:

Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens)

Sandalwood (Santalum album)

Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis)

Rose Otto (Rosa x damascena) – A drop of this sensual oil comforts and invokes loving feelings. It inspires self-love as well as forgiveness. It is truly one of the finest essential oils in the world. It takes 50 certified organic roses to create only a single drop.

Jasmine (Jasminum grandiflorum) – Sensual and Exotic, this oil can help soften the heart, ease the pain of old wounds, instills self-confidence, and reduces stress.

Rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora ducke) – softens the heart, and allows for spiritual healing on all levels, and removes tension and stress.

Being truthful and sincere in discussions about your sex life can be intimidating, but it is certainly important to do so to maintain healthy relationships with yourself and others. It is equally as important to be open and honest with your healthcare providers so they can provide you with the best support possible.

But generally; safety, both physical and emotional, and happiness for everyone in a sexual relationship are the keys to living a sexually healthy and fulfilled life. Sexually healthy individuals are willing to express their own desires while respecting the preferences of others and exercising patience while you work through it together.

Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Courteous, Be Patient, and,

BE WELL!
