Rosewood (Aniba rosaeodora) is a medium sized tropical evergreen with a reddish bark with yellow flowers. It is revered for ts timber and is being unethically and extensively harvested in the South American rainforests, making this a serious conservation issue with these trees being place on the endangered species list.

Rosewood is native to the Amazon region with Brazil and Peru being the main producers. The essential oil is steam distilled from the wood chips resulting in an extraordinary rosy, sweet, woody-floral aromatic scent. It is a good choice for help with skin care issues like acne, dermatitis, scars, and dry, sensitize skin. If looking for a calm, relaxing sleep, Rosewood is your go to essential oil. It is supportive to the immune and nervous systems, and helpful in easing muscle spasms, pain and inflammation. It also can help reduce the presence of bacterial, fungal and viral issues.
