Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) is a hairy perennial shrub with a soft rosy aroma, pointed leaves and small pink flowers. It is native to South Africa, Reunion, Madagascar, and Morocco. It is cultivated in Egypt, Japan, Central America, and parts of Europe. This oil is produced in Egypt. There are hundreds of varieties of Geraniums but Pelargonium graveolens is the main one cultivated for its oil which is steam distilled from the leaves, stalks, and flowers. The oil produced has a floral, sweet and slightly herbal scent and is a yellowish-green color.

Geranium essential oil can be great for skin care in case of acne, mature skin, dermatitis, cuts, oily complexion, etc. It supports healthy circulation; the respiratory system and so much more. Geranium is non-toxic, non-irritant, and generally non-sensitizing. Do not use when pregnant or nursing.
