Fennel (Sweet) Essential Oil
Botanical Name: Foeniculum vulgare
100% Pure therapeutic grade essential oil
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) is a biennial or perennial herb with feathery leaves and golden yellow flowers, and is a member of the carrot family. Sweet fennel is indigenous to the Meditteranean region, and is cultivated mainly in Hungary, Germany, France, Bulgaria, Italy and India. The crushed seeds are steam distilled producing an oil that is clear to yellow in color and has a very sweet, anise-like, earthy, peppery scent. Fennel can help ease digestive problems, provide menstrual support and provide therapeutic support as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antifungal, antibacterial and more. It blends well with Aniseed, Basil, Black pepper, Geranium, Lavender, Juniper, Grapefruit, Mandarin, Lemongrass, Dill, Rose, Ravensara, Sandalwood, Ylang ylang, and a host of other essential oils. Do not use if you have epilepsy, or cancer. It is non-irritant, relatively not-toxic, and sweet fennel is non-sensitizing.
