Helichrysum (Helichrysum italicum), is a versatile evergreen with a robust honey-like fragrance. Known for its regenerative properties, this oil is used for a wide variety of skin conditions. It is also referred to as Immortelle essential oil.The oil originated in Europe, and is most commonly produced in France, Italy, Spain and Bosnia. It is generally steam distilled from the plant’s dark yellow flowers, producing its sweet, honey-like, floral scent.The oil is pale to yellow in color with a light consistency. Helichrysum has a long spiritual and medicinal history dating back to ancient times.

A mix of esters, sesquiterpenes and ketones, Helichrysum is anti-viral and antispasmodic. Helichrysum's regenerative qualities makes it ideal for supporting a wide range of injuries and skin conditions including sprains, hematomas and muscle spasms. It is also helpful in managing pain and inflammation.
It can be blended with Bergamot, Black peper, Ylang ylang, Vertiver, Neroli, Lemon, Thyme, Orange, Geranium, German and Roman chamomile, Palmarosa, Rosemary, Geranium, Spruce, Cypress, Clary sage and other oils. It is non-toxic, non-irritant, and non sensitizing.
