Rosemary Essential Oil

Botanical Name: Rosmarinus officinalis ct verbone

100% Pure therapeutic grade essential oil

Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis ct verbone) comes from a strongly aromatic evergreen shrub native to Asia and the Mediterranean region. It is now cultivated worldwide: California, Middle East, England, China, Portugal and many other locales. The major oil producing countries are France, Tunisia, and the Slavic countries. Rosemary has been used for food, medicine and magic; and is regarded as sacred in many cultures. It has been used to protect against plagues and infectious diseases, to drive away evil spirits, and burnt as incense.

The fresh flowering tops are steam distilled producing a colorless to pale yellow mobile liquid with a strong, fresh, minty and herbaceous scent with woody undertones. Rosemary essential oil has a crisp fragrance that appeals to many and its uses are almost limitless. It has been used, and provides support for numerous complaints including skin and hair problems, respiratory and circulation disorders, muscular and rheumatic pain and liver congestion.

Rosemary blends well with Black pepper, Sage, Spruce, Lemongrass, Spearmint, Helichrysum, Juniper, Pine, Petitgrain, Niaouli, Clary sage, Camphor, Birch, Basil, Lime, Lavender, Geranium, Grapefruit, Nutmeg, Oregano, Tea tree and a host of other oils. People with epilepsy, high blood pressure and who are pregnant or nursing should avoid Rosemary oil.

Essential oils can be used for a wide range of emotional and physical wellness applications. They can be used as single (neat) essential oils or in essential oil blends depending on user experience and desired benefit. Earth’s Own Essentials acquires essential oils from multiple suppliers and uses only 100% Pure Therapeutic and/or Organic essential oils in our blends and neat oils. We consistently search for the best oils at fair market prices.
