Your Head May Be in The Game- But Your Body is in PAIN! Here’s What You Can Do to Help It!
Hello everyone!
I’m back sharing more knowledge to optimize your essential oils experience! Today I’m speaking to all the athletes and sports activity enthusiasts out there. Whether you are involved out of interest, skill, or personal commitment, participating in sports and other activities provides valuable benefits to your body and your mind. Pain and soreness can get in the way of your joy from staying active and building endurance.
Regardless of whether your activity takes place on the field, on the court, or even on the stage- your body is subjected to movement that can be hard on your joins, ligaments, and muscles.
Take extra care in protecting your body from excessive damage: Trust me, you may not feel it as a youngster, but it can come back on you in ugly ways down the road!
What makes essential oils so useful is their natural ability to soothe and enhance with minimal impact on the other senses. When the risk is reduced, the body can absorb and heal without intrusive ingredients being introduced into the system. This allows for further strengthening, boosts motivation, and energizes your mindset.
Ready to pump up your active lifestyle?
Warm-Ups
Getting ready to do your stretches? First grab a few drops of POWER UP to supercharge your body and help you get into the zone for what is ahead. Ginger is also an excellent choice to help shake off nerves and reduce fatigue, so you can be ready to take on anything! Many athletes enjoy the Orange Essential Oil as their go-to boost for feel good energy and a refreshing scent before the big game too. Consider these as supplements in your pre-warmup routine so you build up motion and accelerate your performance.
Peak-Time
Now that you’re all fired up, you may be wondering what oils you can use for vitality and momentum. Let’s talk about breathing- because your heart rate increases you need to take deep and strong breaths to give your body plenty of oxygen and keep the blood pumping. To do this, reach for your bottle of BREATHE FREELY and add 15-18 drops to your inhaler or dilute with a carrier oil to use topically. This will give your airwaves an open and stimulating sensation for healthier breathing. If you feel your energy level needs a little boost, oils such as Lemon and Grapefruit should be an excellent choice for you!
Don’t get your body and your mind locked up during the peak moments, take a break when needed, keep stretching, and stay well hydrated.
Post-Workout
Another game on the books, another day of exercise completed- YOU DID IT!
First, get your body cooled down with a few drops of Peppermint to calm and refresh those worked up tensions and sweat. Did you take a little bit of beating during the game? Cuts and bruises can be painful, but thanks to some quick treatment from oils like Helichrysum, Balsam Poplar, and the SCAR Proprietary Blend, those wounds can be nurtured and cared for.
If you obtained any injuries during your physical activity, check them over carefully and seek out medical attention, as necessary. Remember that your body is the ultimate machine, so it’s important that you remain proactive and attentive to any serious injuries you may encounter.
The Aftermath
The burn, the aches, and the strains you will feel several hours or even the day after you push yourself to the limit, your body is going to tell you very clearly how it feels. Every sore spot and every joint are going to need to release the pressure to properly recover.
That’s where our proprietary TMJ Blend comes into the picture! This blend is phenomenal for easing tender muscles, joints, and ligaments after those brutal brushes on the field or at the gym. It’s available in a roll-on option, I highly recommend you always keep it in your bag! If your feet are feeling more like bricks, gear up for a great massage using Roman Chamomile, Rosemary, or Cypress for a calming reset your feet will thank you for!
This should be titled Self-Care 2.0 – if you are physically active, you will want to prioritize your wellness to the next level. Athletes train hard and play hard, but remember your body is not made of steel. Even the most elite of professional athletes will tell you the importance of caring for your body before, during, and after a physical event. Whether you’re involved in sports, training for the local marathon, or just connecting with your own physical wellness, I hope these tips will empower you to take your health and performance to new heights!
