Botanical Name: Lavandula angustifolia
100% Pure therapeutic grade essential oil
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia), is an aromatic, evergreen woody shrub with pale green narrow leaves and violet blue flowers attached to its long and wispy spikes. The plant is indigenous to the Mediterranean region, but cultivated throughout the world. The oil is produced mainly in France; also Bulgaria, Spain, England, Australia, Italy and other locales. It is generally regarded as the most versatile of the essential oils. The essential oil is steam distracted from the fresh flowering leaves. Lavender is colorless to pale yellow, with a sweet, floral herbaceous scent and a balsamic, woody undertone. It has a more fragrant floral scent than spike lavender and blends well with most other oils, including Rose, Rosemary, Geranium, Pine, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Black pepper, Bergamot, Petitgrain, Spearmint Myrrh, Nutmeg, Fennel and Lemongrass.
